Nightfall Woods Wildlife Resort & Spa will be a serene sanctuary where wild visitors roam freely, and non-releasable animals find lifelong care, blending the beauty of nature with compassionate stewardship.

Welcome to Nightfall Woods Wildlife Resort & Spa

We are currently fundraising to build a serene haven where our furry and feathered residents can live in comfort and care. Nestled in the heart of nature’s sanctuary, this exclusive retreat will offer first-class amenities for wandering guests, as well as non-releasable wildlife, including cozy, custom-designed habitats, gourmet dining experiences (hand-prepared and nutritionally balanced, of course), and plenty of stress-free lounging under the stars.

Nightfall Woods Guests

  • Virginia Opossum

The Virginia opossum, North America’s only marsupial, roams Nightfall Woods Wildlife Resort & Spa, keeping nature in balance. While some will visit freely, others will find permanent sanctuary in our "spa," receiving lifelong care. Whether climbing trees or curling up in safety, these resilient creatures remind us of nature’s quiet, essential caretakers.

  • Raccoon

The raccoon, nature’s clever problem-solver, thrives at Nightfall Woods Wildlife Resort & Spa. Wild visitors will explore the preserve’s creeks and trees, while non-releasable raccoons will find lifelong care in our "spa." Curious and resourceful, they turn every nook into an adventure, proving that mischief and intelligence go hand in hand in the wild.

  • White Tailed Deer

The white-tailed deer, graceful and ever-watchful, will wander freely through Nightfall Woods Wildlife Resort & Spa. These gentle visitors graze the meadows, blending into the landscape with quiet elegance. While the preserve will offer them a safe haven, their presence reminds us of nature’s delicate balance and the beauty of wildlife moving undisturbed.

  • Striped Skunk

The striped skunk, bold and unbothered, will be able to wander Nightfall Woods with slow confidence. Recognized by their signature black-and-white coat, they rely on reputation alone to stay safe. While wild skunks will roam freely, non-releasable ones will find sanctuary in our "spa," enjoying cozy dens without the need to defend themselves—just peace, safety, and rest.

  • Big Brown Bat

As night falls over Nightfall Woods, the big brown bat will take to the sky, weaving through the trees with effortless precision. Using echolocation, they navigate the darkness, unseen but ever present. Roosting in tree hollows by day, they will emerge at dusk, silent phantoms of the night’s hidden world.

  • Barred Owl

With their signature “Who cooks for you? Who cooks for you all?” call echoing through Nightfall Woods, barred owls will be the mysterious guardians of the forest. These large, dark-eyed owls prefer deep woodlands and are often spotted perched in the shadows, silently watching. Whether they choose to soar through the preserve or find refuge in our quiet treetops, barred owls remind us that the night is never truly silent.
